About Me:
I am a Boise native and a graduate of BSU. I received my BA in French and Secondary Education in 2009. I also earned my Masters in Education in June of 2015 through Eastern Washington University. I love to learn and speak French and any other foreign language and I love to sing and listen to music. My wife and I take any chance we can to travel, especially to France (great food!), and we’re always looking forward to our next trip. We have two sons, Loïc, who was born in March of 2012, and Rémi, who was born in March of 2015.
In my classes, I try to provide as much comprehensible input as possible to facilitate language acquisition. To this end, I use a research-based methodology called TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling). It's a fun, highly-engaging method that seems like we're just having fun telling a story on the surface, but it really is the most powerful and effective way I've seen to teach a language. Go here to find more information about TPRS. I’m excited to have you in class and I can’t wait to get this year started! My Mission Statement: I will create a classroom where everybody feels safe, valued, and successful. I use research-based methods to facilitate language acquisition in a highly engaging environment, in order to produce the most proficient French speakers in the Boise district. |
